The House on the Other Side of the Cemetary

“Oh, you have to leave now – too bad! But perhaps you’ll drop in on me again soon. I’m always home. Just look for the house on the other side of the cemetery – the house of Dr Weird!”
http://www.originaloldradio.com/strange_dr_weird.html

I know it's morbid, but my housemates and I are really excited that we got the "cemetary house," as we've christened our new townhouse. And I am only slightly exaggerating when I say we are in a cemetary - we are at the edge. It reminds me of the old time radio show, The Strange Dr. Weird, or of a Vincent Price horror movie. But the place is sweet and has a beautiful backyard - perfect for entertaining, which we plan to do a lot of as the nightlife is pretty dead around there.

Rainy days and Mondays

On rainy days, or any day that I am bored stiff sitting at my desk in the office, I think of all the places that I would rather be at the moment. Right now, anywhere in Western Washington would suffice, like Admiralty Head Lighthouse on Whidbey Island. After spending so much time on Whidbey Island as a kid, it is almost my second home. Yes, I would much rather be waiting on the tide at the ferry dock, than waiting in traffic at rush hour.
